Sporting Fun!
Thank you to everyone who came to
help out, man a game or cheer on at today’s KS2 Sports Day. It was SUPER weather
but the children were prepared with water, sun hats and sun-cream. In fact… the
children were better prepared sun wise than some of the grown-ups! Take Mrs
Scott for example and her new stripy tan lines! Who knew a lanyard could make
such a great pattern! After sun for her I think!
We had so many events for the
children to take part in! Sack races, basketball shoot, running, balancing and
team events like the 'Frisbee Challenge'. It was great to see a little healthy
competition amongst the pupils and our values absolutely shone through - with
people being hopeful for one another, honesty when we asked them to report
scores and most of all love - as they helped each other, showed great teamwork,
won together and commiserated each other when it didn’t go as well as they’d
wanted. Well done guys!
Finally - a VERY special thank you to the fabulous Mrs McCafferty and
fantastic Miss Khanom, who timed each event, toted up the scores and never
stopped smiling!
